Defense Accounting Consultant

Job Description: Defense Accounting Consultant BearingPoint, Inc. is one of the world's largest business consulting, systems integration and managed services firms serving Global 2,000 companies, Federal Government agencies, including the Department of Defense, and other organizations.

We are currently searching for individuals experienced with DoD Accounting. All applicants must have US Citizenship to obtain a DoD Security Clearance.

This role will allow a person to work with clients in a consultative manner, helping them solve problems based upon his/her team’s creative solutions. The position is in support of the Department of Defense and includes analysis of Financial Plans submitted by DoD component activities. This individual will work on the client site in Arlington, VA.

Requirements:
· 5+ years in either a US Federal accounting role, DoD financial management experience or a US based public accounting firm.
· Undergraduate degree in an accounting or finance-related discipline
· 2+ years of experience in the following areas:
- Implementation of performance metrics
- Accounting and Financial Analysis
· 2+ years experience with MS Office 2000, specifically Excel and Access

Desired qualifications:
· CPA or CPA candidate
· Federal Governmental Accounting and Financial Statements experience
