Disability Consultant

This role straddles the Total Absence and Disability Management (TADM) group within Towers Perrin and our joint venture with EDS, ExcellerateHRO.

The Total Absence and Disability Management (TADM) group operates within the Specialty Practice of Health & Welfare. It focuses on providing specialized consulting to employer clients around development and management of all time-off, absence and disability benefit programs for employees. The TADM practice will also integrate with other specialty resources such as Health Management, Pharmacy, Claims Audit, Measurement and Behavioral Health to assist employers in defining their benefit strategies and managing their employee benefit programs.

ExcellerateHRO (EHRO) provides HR outsourcing solutions in six areas that companies can access individually or in combination as their needs dictate: benefits administration, compensation management, payroll, recruiting/staffing, workforce development.

In this role you will work with Towers Perrin TADM consultants and EHRO staff in:


Evaluating EHRO absence management processes, protocols and staffing and providing recommendations that incorporate industry best practices for leave of absence and disability administration
Assisting EHRO with responding to Requests for Proposals for the EHRO Absence Management Service Offering, or other Health and Welfare related service offerings
Presentations to new business prospects on absence management offering
Evaluating prospect or client plan designs, costs and existing internal or vendor absence administration processes. Map current state to future state EHRO processes and assist with development of implementation plans and cost estimates
STD and LTD plan management for EHRO clients, including vendor procurements, renewal negotiations and evaluating vendor performance
Assist senior TADM consultants with absence program strategy developmentProgram financial analysis, including developing financial exhibits and pricing recommendations
FMLA and PTO (paid time off) assessments

Requirements/Qualifications:


5 ? 7 years experience in the Disability industry, preferably gained within a carrier or consulting environment
Financial skills and knowledge of pricing methodologies
Strong analytical skills
Strong project management skills and attention to detail
Knowledge and experience with Microsoft office tools such as Power Point, Excel and Word
Strong client facing skills
Strong interpersonal and team skills
Excellent communication and presentation skills
