POSITION:    EAC Internet Proxy and Firewall Expert

Length of Assignment :  3 to 6 months

Start Date: 8-15-2006 

Duties: Role Description:

The Professional will be a member of the North America Information Services, Communications Technology team located in Pittsburgh, PA which is responsible for the firewalling and related technologies in Pittsburgh (and West Haven) supporting:

Internet browsing

Extranet (FxGate)

Site to Site VPN

The incumbent is expected to be firewall and Internet Proxy professional and will aid the group on several projects throughout the year. Including operational/Design  support of the Bluecoat Browsing environment, Cisco ACNS,  provide support for the Secondary Data Center project and serve as a liaison to the Network Support Center.

 

The area of secure remote access, including both the architectural design, the level III support and meeting SLA commitments also falls within the responsibilities of this position

 

Person will work at our Pittsburgh HQ site.

 

Skill Set Requirements (Must Have )

 

? -  minimum of 5 years of Information technology, firewalling, security and networking technology expertise.

? A compressive understanding and hands on experience with Checkpoint NG/Provider-1 on the Nokia hardware platform.

? A comprehensive understanding of the Bluecoat Browsing environment, Cisco ACNS

? Well rounded  knowledge of current remote access technologies.

? Experience configuring and deploying in an RSA Secure ID environment.

? A compressive understanding and hands on experience with BlueCoat Proxy appliances

? A comprehensive understanding of the UNIX/Linux and Windows operating systems.

? A comprehensive understanding of network, routing technologies (OSPF and BGP) and the TCP/IP protocol.

? Hands-on experience with networking and security issues as they relate to perimeter protection, virtual private networks (VPN).

? A compressive understanding and hands on experience with Cisco Routing and switching technologies and Cisco IOS.

? Ability to travel when needed ( less than 10%).

 

Abilities and Experiences not required, but are a plus:

? Certification in any of the various information security areas (CISSP, SANS - GIAC, and/or Checkpoint CCSA/CCSE).

? Understanding of Windows 2000 Server, Active Directory, complex NT Domain trust models

? Experience writing scripts in the UNIX environment.
