Electrical Engineer

Electrical Engineer Description: Experience with electrical power and lighting system design for facilities and industrial process is mandatory. Thorough knowledge of the National Electrical Code, Title 24, short circuit and load calculations, lighting calculations, and AutoCAD are required. Knowledge and experience designing 120/208/480V power systems for buildings and processes, motor controls, lighting design (office, labs, manufacturing spaces), special systems design (fire alarm, security, telephone, data) are required; medium voltage power system design experience (5kv, 15kv) is a plus.



Requirements:
As relocation is not allotted, and as Volt's client will require on-site interviews, LOCAL candidates are STRONGLY preferred.

Engineer - 3-6 years experience, EIT required, PE preferred, ability to obtain PE within 2 years required.

Must be proficient in AutoCAD and work well in a team environment executing multiple projects simultaneously.

Candidates have to be open to travel to other of the companies offices. If work is slow in the SD area, company policy is to share resources and candidates will be asked to travel to other locations (San Jose, Kansas City). If/when candidates are on travel, company will fly you home every single weekend.

We are looking for specific candidates that have worked in the consulting engineering business leading projects for biopharma (labs or manf) or microelectronic facilities.

We are looking for individuals that can lead design projects and work with clients face to face to design systems and solve problems. The company is built on long term relationships and repeat business from our clients. This takes people with experience in these areas.
