EHR SYSTEMS IMPLEMENTATION CONSULTANTS

California?s federally designated Medicare Quality Improvement Organization (QIO) offers multiple opportunities in the emerging field of Electronic Health Records (EHR) implementation.

 

Lumetra seeks to hire experienced EHR professionals to execute our current CMS physician offices projects requiring 10-20% travel.  Additional EHR opportunities requiring 50-60% travel exist within our highly visible, hands-on start-up environment, Illumisys (www.illumisys.org).

 

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

 

? Working with the project lead, provides technical expertise to medical offices and organizations on aspects of system implementation, including organization readiness for HIT, vendor product selection based on organization assessment.  Must be able to build and convey the benefits (financial or otherwise) of various EHR and practice management system capabilities, architectures and available technologies, etc.

? With assistance from the EHR team, provides advice on best practices for EHR system configuration and provides hands-on assistance with customers involved in the implementation process and workflow redesign efforts.

? Builds and maintains relationships with customers during the course of projects in order to ensure a high value of services and attain product acceptance and adoption. Must be able to communicate effectively on an ongoing basis with customers, in person and via virtual communications.

? Participates in the analysis and documentation of workflows and key processes and provide feedback to practices regarding the integration of EHR functions with practice workflows.

? Must be able to discuss and address basic technical issues associated with hardware, software and healthcare information technology standards associated with EHRs and practice management systems.

? Must be able to assist with implementation projects for organizations, including assistance with issue resolution and action item completion in a manner that ensures success and informs customers along the way

 

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

? Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience

? 1 + yr. implementation experience in live environments and/or experience in training people with computer software, inclusive of six months experience in an ambulatory setting.

? Technical knowledge of EHR system and practice management system architectures, implementation strategies, and system deployment methodologies. Technical writing skills

? Working knowledge of EHR systems and project management principals and methods

? Knowledge of and experience with operating systems, networking, databases, programming languages desirable.

? Ability to communicate effectively across various technical skill levels within the healthcare industry.
