Engineer, Prin R&D Systems

Job Description: (ORC Job Code: T405) You will provide technical expertise developing advanced medical device systems, working in a cross-functional team including physicians to develop the specifications for a medical imaging device.

The device is composed of 3 basic components:
1. A Hardware/Software/Electro-mechanical (including precision mechanics and air/fluidics) ?System Console?

2. A Single Use Device (SUD) which is a electro-optics imaging medical deice that interfaces to ?system Console?, through electronics, mechanical connections and Air/fluidics.

3. Information Management Server for image and all associated procedure data management.

You will provide direction, analysis and strategy for the overall sw system engineering for the architecture and design of all three components.

The ideal candidate will have proven skills as an Engineering SW System Architect with expert experience in at least one of the following disciplines and strong experience in all the others: electrical engineering, broad level design, cameras, optics, high level SW development, embedded SW, mechanical, mini-machining and fluidics. Experience with capitol equipment systems development is a must. Experiences in medical devices will be a strong preference.

Top Level Responsibilities:
Complex SW System Design and Analysis
Simulation of electro-mechanical systems
Direction to cross functional team on fundament Design Controls and preparation of documentation to support FDA regulatory filings
Communicate and interface with multi-site and multi-disciplinary teams during all phase of Product development Life Cycle.

Experience:
6+ years industry experience in capitol medical equipment development

Masters Degree
