Engineering Practice Manager

Westin is currently recruiting for the position of Engineering Practice Manager to work in our downtown Chicago, Illinois office.  Responsibilities include operational and business development as listed below for I&C (instrumentation and control), DCS (distributed control systems), and SCADA (supervisory control and data acquisition) systems.  The project and client focus will be in the Chicago land area as well as major cities in the Midwest.  Lead teams providing design, configuration, and construction phase services for a variety of systems as related to technology solutions for the water/wastewater industry.

Responsibilities include:



Operations

Manage projects, project teams, engineers, and take overall responsibility for project delivery.Ensure projects are delivered within budget and schedule, and meet customer expectations for performance and quality Oversee pre-design and master planning studies including the preparation of technical design reports 

Business Development Successfully develop, manage, and maintain client relationships for existing and prospective opportunities including proposal preparation and sales activities for new and existing clients. Achieve goals for sales, revenue, and growth of the engineering practice, including business development, staffing and project performance Identify business opportunities, prepare proposals, and win new business

 Experience Required: Demonstrated track record of leadership in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial organization, achieving both individual and team-based goals.  8 to 10 years of experience in I&C, DCS & SCADA design, project management, and business development Experience in water/wastewater consulting environment BS Engineering degree or equivalent Certification as a Registered Professional Engineer is required Project Management Institute (PMI) Certification as a Project Management Professional (PMP) a plus.
