FIELD ENGINEER

Leak Detection Services, Inc., a Maryland based corporation, is seeking a Field Engineer (FE) for the purpose of client fulfillment. The position requires the review and interpretation of plant P&ID drawings as needed for database preparation, the preparation of detailed test procedures, the use of our patented acoustic monitoring equipment, and the preparation of reports containing the engineer?s findings.

This position requires travel to and from plant facilities to conduct valve-testing procedures; sometimes on short notice. The FE coordinates valve testing with plant personnel and is responsible for all aspects of on-site client interaction. Our clients are located throughout the U.S and occasionally overseas. It is a full-time, permanent position.

REQUIREMENTS:

Minimum of 3-years field experience in an industrial plant environment.
B.S.M.E or equivalent preferred.
Familiarity with NDT methods including acoustic monitoring or vibration preferred.
Ability to interpret and correlate P&ID diagrams
Demonstrated knowledge of power plant systems, particularly in Fossil and Nuclear plants.
Demonstrated knowledge of the thermodynamic properties of steam, and the functions of steam in power generation
Demonstrated ability to write technical reports for client presentation.
Skilled user of Win XP o/s, MS OFFICE (including Excel, Access)
Ability to present technical presentations to others ? both technical and non-technical
Willingness to learn and lead. Professional, self-motivated, and positive personality a plus.
