Advises on all aspects of the client's business operations to streamline functions and improve performance. Service offerings include: Performance Improvement/Cost Reduction, Operational/Financial Restructuring, Shared Services (Non-Finance), and industry-specific services.
- Program Leadership Initiative: Optimizes the client's portfolio of programs and projects by creating a structured approach to project management. Usually PL is a core component of any large technology project implementation. Service offerings include: Portfolio Management and Program Management Office.
- Enterprise Cost
Reduction Initiative: Provides an integrated solution to achieve large, rapid, sustainable, enterprise-wide cost savings. Its two-stage approach immediately increases cash flow while providing long-term cost reductions and operating efficiencies. Service offerings include: Black Ink.
- Strategic Legal Services Initiatives: Focuses on providing a systematic, integrated approach to solving the business challenges faced by Corporate Counsel, Law Firms and Government Agencies. Typical projects include both cost reduction and risk reduction efforts. Service offerings include: Outside counsel cost reduction, organization rationalization, contract management, records retention/management and intellectual property, licensing and royalty management.
- Shared Services Initiatives: Focuses on transforming or streamlining organizations to eliminate redundancy and waste in their back office functions (e.g. Finance, Human Resources, IT, Procurement) through consolidating into a centralized function with a
focus on customer service and continuous improvement. Service offerings include strategy development, opportunity assessment, visioning, design, build, implementation and Service Center optimization and typically cover Process, Organization, Change, Technology, and Facilities elements.
- Sarbanes-Oxley Initiative: Multi-disciplinary approach allows clients to focus immediately on full compliance, design and implement an infrastructure required to sustain it, and implement changes to improve performance.
Consultants function as integrators between business needs and technology solutions.? Responsibilities include, among others, performing current state analysis, defining systems strategy, developing system requirements, designing and prototyping, testing, training, defining support procedures and implementation. Consultants perform accurate analysis and effective diagnosis of client issues and manage day-to-day client relationships at peer client levels.? Consultants develop exposure and
familiarity with multiple industries while achieving task and skill competence in the tool sets and services of the practices within the firm. Consultants will assist in proposal development, as requested.??

Qualifications
- Minimum of 4-5 years of experience with the Department of Defense in a direct capacity.
- Interest and aptitude for business and financial management consulting.
Preferred Skills
- More than 5 years of service with the Department of Defense
- Knowledge of DFAS Accounting and Feeder (logistics) Systems, such as STARS-FL, STARS-HQM, DIFMS.?
- Experience in Accounting or Financial Management.?
- Experience with Working Capital Fund activities and financial management.
- Industry or Consulting Experience.
- Graduate level coursework in business related subject. Experience developing business cases.
