Field Service Technician

Pharmaceutical Calibrations and Instrumentation, LLC (PCI) is a nationwide leader in providing calibration and calibration-related services for pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and medical device manufacturers. This is a non-exempt position.  25% overnight travel may be required.

PCI is seeking a qualified and competent Field Services Technician in support of our headquarters in Raleigh, NC. This position also requires the ability to effectively work in support of PCI?s client base. PCI needs both process instrumentation and analytical instrumentation technicians.  Recent graduates and those with 1-3 years of experience welcome.

Expectations:

The Technician is charged with providing PCI clients with on-site calibrations and other instrumentation related services. 

 

The Technician is expected to display working knowledge of company policies and procedures.  Technicians are expected to ensure that new hires for their respective division are properly welcomed and introduced to other company personnel and client representatives.

 

 

Responsibilities/ Assignments:

? Completing timesheets with correct labor code charges. (weekly)

? Ensure special clients requests are conveyed to the appropriate PCI management resource and met in accordance to management direction.

? Process calibration documentation in a timely manner.

? Ensure PCI work area is maintained neatly.

? Identify need for additional supplies, equipment, etc. and convey to the appropriate management resource.

 

 

Special Skills Required:

?  Basic understanding of temperature, pressure, level, and flow control loops (Process Technicians)

?  Basic understanding of chemistry, microbiology, separation methods and commonly used equipment, and  chromatography (Analytical Technicians)

?  Climbing stairs, climbing on equipment such as tanks. Moderate to heavy lifting. (Process Technicians)

?  General electrical panel knowledge and safety practices. (Process Technicians)

?  Understanding of calibration accuracy testing requirements.

?  Working knowledge of MircoSoft Office products.

?  Must have a valid driver?s license and good driving record.

?  Must be reliable, confident, eager to learn, and enjoy working with people.

?  Must be self-driven and demonstrate ability to work with little direction. Display good organizational skills.

 

 

Experience & Education Required:

A two-year associates degree in Engineering, Life Sciences, or other related technical field (or equivalent military training) and two years of instrumentation experience or the equivalent combination of the two.
