Kumon has a presence in 43 countries with more than 1,600 Kumon Centers in North America alone. The North American division is headquartered in Teaneck, New Jersey. Kumon Centers are independently owned and operated by Franchise Instructors who are certified following an extensive training period.

 

Job Description:

The Franchise Developer is responsible for assisting and managing pre-qualified, prospective franchisees (PF) through the initial stages of opening a Kumon Center in the territory in and around the San Francisco, Seattle, and Phoenix areas.The Franchise Developer is also responsible for the relocations and transfers of current franchised centers.

 

Responsibilities:Conduct the Branch Orientation Day prior to the PF entering their initial trainingConduct the Discovery Day when the PF is ready to enter into the franchise systemEvaluate potential sites for new PF?s and relocations through on-site visitsEvaluating and commenting on PF business plans.  Assist PF?s whose Center Management Database recertification has expired due to not opening within 5 months of obtaining 1st certification.  Developer will work very closely with Recruiter(s) in region and some responsibilities will cross over.Coordinate the PF's in-center trainings

 

Requirements:Bachelors Degree or higherA minimum of 2 years' experience consulting franchiseesA strong knowledge of US FranchisingFamiliarity with UFOCExperience with and coaching people with their business plansComfortable presenting in both large and small groupsExcellent consultative skillsExtremely flexible travel schedule (Requires ~ 40% travel)Experience with lease termsA minimum of 2 years working at a franchise organization
