We currently have an opportunity for a Compensation Manager within our Total Compensation Practice in our San Francisco office. Our growing Compensation practice is strategically positioned to assist our clients with executive compensation, equity and incentive compensation and employee pay services. We offer a full solution, advising on everything from developing a compensation philosophy, to setting short and long-term strategies, competitive analysis, stock plan design and rollout, communications, related tax advice, etc.
We prefer a candidate who has:
? A finance and/or tax background (a degree with an emphasis in finance is preferred but is not mandatory)
? Consulting experience
? A track record and a desire for selling work
? Strong written and oral communications skills

Responsibilities for this key role include:
? Function as an integral member of our Human Resource Solutions San Francisco Practice
? Ability to manage own workflow as well as oversee the work of others
? Develop and maintain client relationships
? Function as a team member in implementing our market penetration strategies for prospects
? Sell across the HRS service matrix
? Interact extensively with other PwC lines of business (ex. Retirement, Health and Welfare, Tax Services, etc.)
? Work directly on leading clients with complex issues
? Direct involvement in our many offered services, including:
? Plan analysis, design and strategy
? Short and long term incentive plan design
? Stock/equity plans
? Executive/non-qualified benefits
? Compliance, disclosure
? Employment agreements, contracts
? Competitive and financial analyses
? Board of Director compensation
? Change-in-control arrangements
? Performance measure selection
? Executive benefits including supplemental retirement arrangements

? Proven ability to develop and maintain client relationships
? Extensive executive compensation technical knowledge and expertise (excellent understanding of accounting, tax and legal issues affecting compensation arrangements).
? Strong leader and team player
? Interest in developing new ways to apply analytical skills to business problems and working in multi-disciplined environment
