Job Description -- PricewaterhouseCoopers Human Resource Services (HRS) practice is one of the world?s largest HR, actuarial, and tax planning businesses, with over 6,000 professionals worldwide. We bring together all our local and global professionals working in the Human Resource Services arena- actuaries, accountants, attorneys, tax specialists, communications experts, personal financial advisors, as well as HR professionals, with expertise in the area of benefits, assessment, compensation, staffing and process management - affording our clients an unmatched breadth and depth of expertise.

We currently have an opportunity for an experienced Director within our Global Human Resource Solutions- Health and Welfare practice in our New York office. We advise our clients on a variety of issues such as developing a health and welfare philosophy, setting short and long-term strategies, competitive analysis, plan design and roll-out, and communications. We are in search of a hands-on leader to manage clients, engagements and staff, as well as develop the Florham Park and New York underwriting team in the Health and Welfare practice.

Responsibilities for this key role include:
- Extensive development and maintenance of client relationships
- Function as a key resource in implementing our market penetration strategy for prospects
- Assist in developing products and services for the New York market
- Assist with business development activities and presentations
- Sell across the GHRS service matrix
- Interact extensively with other PwC lines of business (ex. Retirement, Compensation, Tax Services, etc.)
- Work directly on our most complex clients
- Recruit and manage a delivery team of other underwriting and H&W staff

Participate in various engagements such as:
- Health benefit strategy/consumer directed health care
- Provide renewal analysis and negotiation
- Analyze insurance company proposals
- Develop health insurance budget rates and flex strategies
- Benefit plan pricing
- Budget projections and analysis
- Benefit plan design
- Overall health benefit cost and utilization analysis
- Merger and acquisition assistance
- Vendor search, selection and oversight

- Bachelor?s degree required, MBA preferred
- Underwriter Designation/licensed insurance consultant, e.g. State Health License, preferred
- CEBS

Job Requirement Essential

- Extensive experience (10-15 years) working in the health and welfare benefits area with a strong employer focus preferred.
- Previous consulting experience and insurance company experience is required.
- Management experience
- Experience in developing new business relationships
