Position: Group & Health Care Consultant

Minimum Experience Required: 4 years

Minimum Education Required: Bachelors Degree

Qualifications
Bachelors? degree in mathematics, actuarial science, statistics, accounting or finance
Minimum 4-7 years experience in health and welfare benefit plan design, funding arrangements, claims system reviews and vendor selection
Strong knowledge and proven experience in Excel and Microsoft Word.
Excellent interpersonal and team-building skills and clear and concise verbal and written communication skills essential.
Demonstrated flexibility, client responsiveness and ability to meet deadlines

Position Overview
Under the supervision of a Group and Health Care Client Delivery Leader, completes plan design, funding arrangements, underwriting, claims systems review and assists in vendor selection and other quantitative and analytical work relating to group and health care benefits projects. Develops and maintains effective working relationships within the group and health care practice and between practices.


Responsibilities
Project management arising from client needs related to health care and other group benefit programs, to include:

Health care claims analysis (including prescription drug and dental plans)
Setting credits and price tags for flexible benefit plans
Negotiating rates with health care or other group benefit vendors
Assessing financial and non-financial aspects of bidding health care, life insurance and disability benefit programs
Analyzing alternative funding arrangements for healthcare, life insurance and disability benefit programs
Assist on other group and health care projects as requested, including pricing, data analysis and valuation of liabilities
Supporting valuation process of retiree health and welfare benefit obligations
Drafting letters, reports and other correspondence to clients
