HRO Performance Testing Manager

Description:
The Performance Testing Manager is accountable for establishing the strategy and direction for the HRO Performance Testing team. This role has a strong focus on operational excellence regarding the ongoing performance testing on HRO applications and services.

He or she has the following primary areas of responsibility:
Operational excellence & Project Leadership. The Performance Testing Manager is responsible for leading a methodology-driven quality plan, monitoring and controlling the quality of deliverables, and championing customer satisfaction. He or she partners with business and IS managers to form alliances on projects, drive operational decisions, and work through scheduling requirements/conflicts.
Process development and Implementation activity support. The Performance Testing Manager is responsible for working closely with a many areas of the business and IS to develop operational processes to support ongoing performance testing. He or She will be responsible for building Standard Operating Procedures for requesting, scheduling, performing, and reporting stress tests.
Financial management. The Performance Testing Manager employs effective practices in the use of consultants, purchase of software/equipment, and the management of the team. Continuous focus is maintained on achieving business objectives in the most cost effective manner possible.
People management and development. The Performance Testing Manager exceeds at staffing and development activities associated with the management of a qualified and engaged team. He or she identifies recruiting, training, and development needs and ensures these needs are met effectively. He or she trains and shares knowledge with others on the implementation and ongoing teams.

Technical Knowledge Required:
- Experience in the following technologies: Unix, Java, Apache, Object Oriented programming, HTML, SQL, Websphere.
- Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts and issues to a non-technical
Audience.
- Experience in stress testing/application performance testing is a plus.
- Understanding of the systems aspect of an outsourcing model.
- Experience with offshore sourcing a plus.
