Independent Contractor- Application Consultant

At Exact Software, we believe in Business Unified? - being a leading provider of solutions that connect the people, processes and knowledge essential for an efficient, competitive business. Our JobBOSS/Alliance division is looking for an independent Application Implementation Consultant.

 

This individual will be assigned to new customers, who have purchased application consulting services.  Application Implementation Consultants assist new customers with performing installs of our software, training users, and developing plans for an accelerated, step by step implementation.  Application Consultants also support existing customers with on-site software usage assessments, upgrading from old versions to the most current, converting to new database platforms, system improvements, expanding use of the software, training new users and deploying to additional sites.

 

Our requirements include a bachelor?s degree in Business or Computer Applications with a Manufacturing emphasis. A minimum of 5 years of implementation consulting experience in a custom manufacturing/engineering environment required. Candidates who also possess experience with discrete manufacturing environments and software packages will receive preferential review. Other requirements include leadership skills, strong verbal and written communication skills, the ability to identify, define and solve business challenges, and the drive and skill to sell additional consulting services back into existing customers.  Must also possess technical skills, including Microsoft SQL Server, MS Access, and Crystal Reports.  MCSE preferred.  Prefer a broad knowledge of manufacturing best practices.  Candidates must be willing to travel extensively within the United States.
