Information Assurance Analyst (597)

GENERAL SUMMARY: Position is on the research staff of a nonprofit management consulting organization headquartered in McLean, VA.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
(Essential Job Functions)
Perform IT security assessments and develop security and accreditation plans for Federal Government agencies.
Participate in systems analysis, systems development, and Information Technology program management.
Participate in the development of electronic commerce systems or electronic government projects, including development of agency policies and procedures.
Participate in the preparation of project briefings and reports. Present oral reports/briefings to clients.
Work closely with project managers and senior technical leads to ensure work meets client objectives.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Bachelor?s degree in information systems management, business administration, or related discipline. Masters degree preferred.
Five or more years experience in working with government or private sector programs or systems.
IT Security experience (particularly, in the development of IT Security plans for Federal Government agencies), including the Defense IT Security and Accreditation Process (DITSCAP).
Experience in one or more of the following areas: requirements analysis, systems development, systems documentation, and IT project management.
Experience with extensible mark-up language, electronic data interchange (EDI) and other Internet based technologies are highly desired.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
