Information Systems Auditor

Rapid growth in our Insurance Regulatory Consulting Practice group across the country has created the need to expand our national practice.

Position Summary:
This is a position for an Information Security auditor with solid risk assessment and controls review experience, coupled with good project
management and communications skills. The candidate will work under the supervision of highly experienced Information Systems managers and Insurance Regulatory practice leaders in a wide variety of systems and business environments, focusing in the Insurance and Financial Services industries.

Position Requirements:
Candidates should have the following qualifications for consideration:
- Minimum of two years Information systems risk assessment and controls review experience, preferably within the Big 4 environment
- Prior financial audit and/or business cycle control review experience
- Experience with IT security for various areas including: Windows XP/2000/NT, Unix, routers, switches, database environments, web security, firewall and IDS/IPS, RACF, ACF2, z/OS, wireless.
- Bachelor's degree in MIS, business, accounting or other related field
- CISA, CISSP, or other relevant certifications (CIA, CPA) or the willingness to obtain within the near future
- Ability to travel 30-50%

- Flexibility for travel/working long hour days to meet deadlines when necessary

Highly desirable experience:
- Insurance, Banking and general financial services industry experience
- Big 4 consulting background
- Knowledgeable with Sarbanes-Oxley Act and other Regulatory requirements
- CPA certification
- SAS 70 and Business Cycle Review experience
- Competence with multi-platform (i.e., network, Unix/Linux, mainframe) security assessment and testing tools

Responsibilities and Duties:
The consultant is responsible for the following services with appropriate
training and supervision:
- Analyzing and evaluating information technology (IT) security risks and controls
- Providing IT risk mitigation strategies and recommendations
- Developing policies and procedures as it relates to information security and related business cycle controls
- Performing general IT control reviews in accordance with prescribed Regulatory framework
- Performing detailed business cycle control reviews in support of risk based audits
- Participating in IT strategy planning with Practice leaders

Relocation
Due to the national presence of our Insurance Regulatory Practice, relocation is not anticipated for this position. Overnight travel may be reduced if the position is based out of Hartford, CT or Baltimore, MD.

Compensation
The salary range for this position is dependent on qualifications. There is also a bonus plan that applies to this position.
