Desired Skills
Finance function and accounting experience (no less than 3 years) within an Insurance company. Specific insurance industry experience in property and casualty, life, or life & annuity working in or consulting to the finance, actuarial or planning areas. Reporting experience -- either management or regulatory; Hyperion's HFM /allocations or enterprise planning a plus. Some understanding of overall operations and systems in insurance company (e.g., policy administration, underwriting, claims, etc...). Some understanding of erp (within an insurance company (peoplesoft first choice, then oracle). prior consulting or project experience a big plus.
This role may take either a strategic or tactical view of a company's total business. They work proactively with clients to refine their current business strategy or develop a new strategy in line with competitive and market forces. They also identify strategic capabilities needed to create and sustain one or more sources of competitive advantage. These capabilities may come in the form of process, information technology, organization enablement, or knowledge. They identify best practices and client performance gaps, if any. They use a tool to identify, align, and change the factor that affect performance, stability, and teaming and develops comprehensive transformation recommendations.
