Java/WebSphere Programmer/Analyst

We are currently seeking a Java/WebSphere Developer for a contract with an initial term of 6 months. Developer will participate in new software development life cycle using WebSphere tools including WAS 6.0+, RAD, and Apache (IBM HTTP Server). This developer will primarily be developing and supporting new code that is being prepared for delivery to QA. This will include new functionality, functional gaps, problems identified in Unit, Integration, and QA testing, as well as, modifications approved through change control process. This developer needs to be a quick starter, have solid communication skills, and be willing to work under pressure to meet project milestone dates. This person needs to be resourceful in solving problems and willing to lead problem-solving efforts. This developer should be able to work 45 hours per week as needed.

Job Experience:
Specific Experience/Skills Needed:

- 6+ years design and development using OO methodologies.

- 6+ years design and development in WebSphere environment (as noted above).

- 3+ years JSP/Struts application design/development experience.

- 3+ years general web application design/development including JavaScript/HTML/CSS, XSL/XSLT, and XML.

- 3+ years with EJB interface development.

- 3+ years development with SQL in a DB2/UDB environment.

- Experience with a Source Management system (eg, PVCS).

- Experience with UML methodologies, logging frameworks (LOG4J) and unit testing strategies is a plus.
