Jr. Business Analyst / Technical Writer

POSITION OBJECTIVES: The Technical Writer / Jr. Business Analyst (TW/BA) is responsible for using technical expertise and knowledge of audience to analyze, synthesize, organize, and structure organizational policy and procedural documentation for external clients.

The successful candidate will work closely with project managers, business analysts and customers to:

? Clarify the scope and purpose of written materials
? Interview customer stakeholders to elicit and capture details for process documentation
? Develop detailed specifications and templates for deliverables
? Proof and edit critical content information
? Work with the solution team to establish milestones for documentation creation and delivery
? Participate in peer reviews of team deliverables
? Coordinate with client stakeholders on expectations for project deliverables

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: (those functions actually required to perform the position, the removal of which would fundamentally change the job)

1. Formal use of a project methodology lifecycle.
2. Formal experience producing process/system analysis and design documentation
3. Must be detail-oriented and very organized.
4. Effective written and oral communication skills ?

o Ability to interview client stakeholders and document current business operations and project objectives/scope for future phases.
o Ability to work with stakeholders to build trust with our organization/consultants in order to capture accurate information about the project engagement
5. Formal experience with technical writing engagements to produce, proof, and edit policy and procedural documentation.
6. Must be capable of designing effective and intuitive layouts for process and policy artifacts
7. Must be detail-oriented and very organized.
8. Positive attitude and effective written and oral communication skills
9. Ability to work with stakeholders to build trust with our organization/consultants in order to capture accurate information.
10. Consistent use of excellent judgment when making daily decisions about project deliverables.
11. Possess analytical and creative abilities to problem solve and offer new or alternate solutions.
12. Can manage client expectations related to assigned area of responsibility.
13. Be a team player - manage and motivate project team members ? lead and be led.
14. Must have the ability and commitment to demonstrate consistent involvement and follow-through in all aspects of the job.
