Knowledge Domain Director-TICE

Job Description -- PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) develops and manages its knowledge assets development through an array of industry and technical subject fields called Knowledge Domains. The position resides within Domain Management, an operational unit of the PwC Knowledge Services Organization (KSO), located in Tampa, Florida. The strategic vision of the KSO is to support PwC?s aspiration to be the preeminent knowledge-based professional services firm.

Knowledge Domain Director work with practice area and Knowledge Domain Managers to support and coordinate knowledge initiatives across a designated set of domains. A Domain Director must be able to work closely with top tier leadership to understand and map strategic issues, and to further a knowledge sharing culture. Key activities include:

? Working with leadership and internal support services such as Marketing to understand, evaluate and monitor market issues and trends and formulating plans to develop content and resources necessary to winning and doing work;
? Ownership and management of strategy, planning and budgeting processes;
? Supporting and coordinating knowledge initiatives;
? Monitoring and managing staff performance; and
? Driving knowledge management standards through designated domains.

A Domain Director is a self-starter and keen observer to actively identify gaps, efficiencies, trends and emerging issues across multiple domains. The ideal candidate will be an experienced practitioner in the domain/industry area with a requisite level of subject-matter expertise. They must understand strategic planning and accept significant budget and human capital responsibility.

This role reports to the cross Domain Leader and works with a Partner led steering committee.

Master's Degree with experience in multiple industries and knowledge management. A plus to possess experience of the professional services environment.

? Seasoned professional with 10+ years experience in the relevant technical or industry area.
? Strategic and creative thinker. Ability to analyze research, understand and prioritize client issues and service offerings across multiple domains (industry and technical). Should understand strategic planning and alignment to business development goals.
? Strong analytical skills. Understands information and research needs necessary to support knowledge workplan implementation.
? Demonstrated track record of successful interactions within a partnership and with senior leadership, functional leadership (Marketing, Learning & Education, etc) and across all staff levels.
? Excellent written and communication skills. Understands the concept and value of brand compliance. Experienced as a large workstream/project manager or leader and/or facilitator. Excellent interpersonal skills - ability to effectively influence staff and partner levels.
? Effective negotiation and problem solving skills. Ability to create and successfully manage substantial budgets.
? Must be a responsible, self-motivated, proactive individual who takes ownership and accepts accountability. Successful track record, hiring and managing manager-level staff.
? Excellent time management and project management skills.
