Job Description: Manager, Strategy & Business Development - Disney Consumer Products





Disney Consumer Products (DCP) is the business segment of The Walt Disney Company that extends the Disney brand to merchandise ranging from apparel, toys, home decor and books to interactive games, food and beverages, stationery, electronics and animation art. This is accomplished through the work of DCP's various lines of business: Disney Toys, Disney Softlines, Disney Hardlines, Disney Home, Disney Publishing, Buena Vista Games, Baby Einstein, the Muppets Holding Company and Disney Shopping Inc.'s catalog and website, DisneyShopping.com.

In this role, you will work across all lines of business within Disney Consumer Products (DCP) to drive the divisional strategy and prioritization of initiatives and investments. Additionally, you will work with the Strategy & Business Development (SBD) team to provide strategic advisory to the business units.

Also of primary focus will be driving special projects which may include acquisitions & divestitures, new business development, and internal business consulting.






Job Responsibilities:
DCP Strategic Planning Process:
- Corroborate on the strategy development for the division
- Drive the Strategic Planning process including collection, consolidation, analysis, and presentation of data.
- Partner with the larger finance and strategy organization on the requirements and deliverables of the Strategic Plan

Special Projects:
- Plan workflow and coordinate the team and process
- Identify research needs and perform appropriate qualitative and quantitative research
- Construct financial and analytical models for potential acquisitions, deals, production, and strategic decisions
- Generate, iterate, and effectively communicate hypothesis
- Provide negotiation support for deals, with capacity to suggest creative alternatives for complicated negotiations
- Synthesize research and findings into concise presentations



Education:
- Bachelors degree required, Finance or related field
- MBA preferred





Requirements:
- Minimum of 4-6 years of work experience
- Proven track record in strategy & business development
- Strong problem-solving skills (critical thinking, creativity, innovation)
- Strong analytics and financial modeling skills, including creation of models
- Multitasking capabilities
- Superior verbal & written communications and presentation skills
- 2 years post-MBA work experience in strategy or management consulting capacity ideal
