The Network Analyst/Consultant works as a consulting team member or an individual technical consultant on for-fee network/systems projects.  Expertise and work efforts focus on the implementation of new network/systems products.  Generally, your duties are performed at our customer?s site. This person serves as pre-sales support specialist when needed and operates under minimal supervision on complex projects.  The selected candidate will have a strong foundation in networking concepts with a focus on network-centric (packet level) application performance monitoring and problem resolution.  Pre-sales or post-sales engineering experience a plus.  Experience in, network management, network infrastructure, or network security technologies preferred as well.

 

Responsibilities:

? Works on single or multi-product projects, usually with multiple computer environments where design is complex.  Expertise and work efforts focus on the development and implementation of network/systems projects.

? Develops network/systems solutions or customizes existing network/systems to meet customers' needs.

? Estimates time frames, quality and quantity of resources required to successfully implement project; develops project plan incorporating all project variables.

? Sees that appropriate company resources are assigned to complete project tasks according to plan.

? Establishes criteria concerning deliverability, performance, maintenance, design & cost.

? Performs re-forecasts of project variables as necessary throughout project

? Prepares weekly status reports on all project activities

? Authors, edits, and maintains exercise-based Instructor-Led Training materials for network performance management software products

? Creates course materials, including planning documents, course descriptions, student materials, instructor materials, course presentations, and equipment specifications, as appropriate

? Teams up with Account Management, Product Engineers, Product Specialists and others to understand customer use cases and develop classroom exercises

? Collaboratively seeks input from various teams (development, technical support, and marketing) to ensure technical accuracy of course materials and consistency with corporate branding and messaging

? Conducts training session both for internal and external customers

? Defines demo data set requirements to support classroom exercises.  Work with development and the support team to manage the process of demo data set creation

? Writes, edits, and maintains product documentation for users and NetQoS employees

 

Qualifications:

? Bachelor's degree in business, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science (advanced degree preferred)

? Willingness to travel 75% or more of the time 

? 5+ years of experience in network/systems design, development or consulting

? Ability to effectively work with both technical and non-technical staff including customers, systems engineers and development staff

? Excellent verbal and written communication skills required couple with outstanding presentation skills

? Ability to serve effectively as liaison between company and customers

? Professional appearance and presentation required
