Oracle PM / Solution Consultant

Terms:Contract - 12 Months

Target Start Date:  8/14/06

Pay Rate:  Open / DOE

 

Description:

The candidate will be responsible for reporting to the Project/Business Lead and the IT Project Lead for this project. Their duties will include, but are not limited to:

? Conduct system & business research & analysis

? Provides functional skills to a project team & stakeholders

? Documents standards & procedures clearly & concisely

? Provide functional input into the design & development of system & RICE requirements & functional specifications

? Translate documented business goals & objectives into the most appropriate requirements

? Assist to ensure requirements are met

? Oral & written communication with stakeholders

? Identify issues, form hypothesis, design & conduct analysis, synthesize conclusions into recommendations & help implement change

? Evaluate alternatives & recommends solutions

? Develop & perform test planning / scripts / cases

? Assist in Process Playbacks, Conference Room Pilots & User Acceptance Testing

? Develop documentation & procedures for handover to the support group

? Ensure that the appropriate process documentation is created

? Apply global common PM processes

? Identify gaps & implement solutions for gaps using Standard PM processes

? Assist steering committee, PM project team & PMO with inputs as required

? Develops applicable work plans

? Provides functional thought leadership to team

? Develops strategies

 

Responsibilities:

? Understands/follows appropriate steps of methodology based on assigned project

? Works with business community to understand objectives/requirements of project

? Creates solutions that address business requirements

? Implements quality systems that support business community needs & meets ongoing service delivery requirements

? Provides system support.

? Establishes support processes & procedures

? Delivers timely project status

? Develops/maintains contingency plans

? Ensures project is delivered on time, on budget and with planned functionality

? Ensures key control objectives are addressed

? Supports development, test and production environments

? Install, configure and/or implement new/expanding technologies in support of IT projects

? Provide computing support with high degree of customer satisfaction, technical expertise and timeliness to customers

? Conducts financial and business analysis Data gathering/research and develops analysis to support proposal preparation

? Documents standards and procedures

 

Technical Skills:

? SQL, Oracle PL/SQL

? Oracle Reports, Oracle Forms, Oracle 11i Apps, or Oracle Discoverer

? C++, .NET, Microsoft/ASP, and/or Oracle DBMS

? MS Project and project management methodologies and concepts Oracle, SQL, SQL*Server, Security, Telephony Oracle Applications

 

Requirements:

? BS or BA in Computer Science, MIS or equivalent

? Prior project-based client implementation experience with leading the design of solutions that meet business needs

? Proven track record of working well with business process owners, internal IT & functional contacts to support information systems

? Strong problem solving / analytical skills

? Ability to support project teams, end users & stakeholders

? Systems analysis & recommendation proposal experience

? Extensive industry knowledge to apply tool

? Strong knowledge of project mgmt. methodology

? Proficient verbal and written communication skills

? Effective interpersonal skills
