Organizational Development Consultant

Job Description:
Job Summary:

Reporting to the Director HR Talent and Systems Management, act as organizational development liaison and advisor. Facilitate ADESA Human Resources and IT initiatives. Plan, develop, implement and administer human resources programs for IT employees. Responsible for development and integration of human resource programs and associated projects to achieve strategic business goals and operational objectives. Analyze organizational structures, responsibilities, team work, business or operating procedures, reporting relationships and work processes to design efficient methods of accomplishing work. Perform all duties assigned by the Director HR Talent and Systems Management. Must know, practice, and ensure that company policies and procedures and state and federal laws are followed at all times. Ensure that no company, employee, or customer information is inappropriately divulged to unauthorized parties.

Responsibilities and Duties:

1. Ensure proper follow-through on all directives, bulletins and schedules from the Corporate Office and Director HR Talent and Systems Management. Maintain a good flow of communication between Human Resources and IT and within the Corporation.

2. Direct the of performance, behavior, culture, leadership, development and training needs assessments for IT employee performance in achieving the goals and objectives of the company.

3. Identify and incorporate human resource best practices into IT business and program plans.

4. Provide expertise in staffing, recruiting, talent sourcing, performance management, compensation, organizational design and human resources strategy development and execution. Assist in planning, implementation and on-going maintenance of labor relations, employee relations, EEO, diversity and compensation programs.

5. Provide broad range consultation service to all levels of IT employees regarding human resource policies and procedures.

6. Facilitate communication among employees and management. May guide managers and employees on problem solving, dispute resolution, regulatory compliance and litigation avoidance.

7. Consult with IT management on performance, organizational and leadership matters. Conduct needs assessments to determine measures required to enhance employee job performance and overall company performance.

8. Design and develop human resource training programs for IT management and employees. Develop and maintain instructional programs through ADESA University. Facilitate learning activities, audio-visual materials, instructor guides and lesson plans.

9. Review evaluations of IT technical and functional training courses, objectives and accomplishments.

10. Assess effectiveness of training in terms of IT employee accomplishments and performance.

11. Practice and promote teamwork at all times. Set a good personal example of attitude and performance.

12. Monitor all area related conditions, property and equipment within corporate standards for cleanliness, proper maintenance and safety. Advise Facilities of all breakdowns and maintenance immediately.

13. Make sure all area conditions do not threaten employee safety. Respond to and follow proper procedures on employee accidents, injuries, and loss or damage to any property. Report all incidents immediately. Practice and instruct all employees in proper loss prevention and reaction procedures. Report all incidents properly and immediately.

Job Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree required in one of the following disciplines: Organizational Development, Training and Development, Psychology, Industrial Psychology, Social Science, Operational Management, Information Technology. At least three (3) years of organizational development, consulting, training or related human resources experience required.
