PM Specialist (MS Scheduler)

The Division’s mission is to reduce terrorist and criminal activities by maximizing the ability to provide timely and relevant criminal justice information to international, federal, state, and local criminal justice agencies, as well as other authorized entities, in a timely manner. This system provides electronic fingerprint services to authorized users. The Program is an integrated, automated entry-exit capability that records the arrival and departure of aliens, conducts terrorist and criminal screening of aliens, and verifies aliens? identities through comparison of biometric identifiers from a variety of systems. It is a business process that integrates and enhances the capabilities of existing systems. The goal of the interoperability effort is to permit both DHS and DOJ and their stakeholders to seamlessly share data that is complete, accurate, current, and timely. The flow of information to be shared will be multi-directional.

Detailed Position/Job Description:The candidate should be able to provide Project Scheduling and oversight support activities including:? Create and monitor multiple, integrated project schedules utilizing Microsoft Project.? Coordinate meetings involving government personnel and contractors? Develop reports that analyze and illustrate schedule changes and the impact of those changes.? Track and report on milestones and timelines and /or percent complete across multiple projects.? Analyze project schedules, determine status, and develop Earned Value Management (EVM) Reports.? Advise on scheduling and EVM issues, techniques, and processes.
Required Technical Skills: Ability to write clearly and concisely.? MS Project expert? Excellent communication skills? Strong organizational and Time Management skills.? Enthusiasm and strong desire for a challenging opportunity.
