Performance Profile:
BearingPoint Public Services team is seeking a new team member to work 100% on-site at a US Government client facility in North Chicago, Illinois (near Great Lakes Naval Base). Access to the Chicago office near O’Hare will not be frequent but may be available. This candidate will work with other BearingPoint consultants and with government clients within an Information Technology (IT) directorate to help develop, plan, and implement enterprise CMMI project management principles. This is an opportunity to help shape industry best practice procedures in an immature project management environment. The role may also encompass providing support to client in monitoring external contractors/consultants providing BPR or systems integration initiatives.


Position-specific Requirements:

* Seeking BS degree with approximately 4 to 10 years of experience in information technology, program management, or related consulting projects. A recent MIS degree or PMP certification without applied experience is acceptable. Attitude and ability to learn while applying knowledge and skill-sets is more important.
* Excellent client facing skills.
* Flexibility and adaptability
* Government or Department of Defense experience may provide an advantage.
* MS Project tool for preparing/managing project schedules; strong knowledge of MS Office; knowledge of project management and requirements or configuration management (CM) tools/methodologies such as MKS, Rational, Primavera are desirable.
* Ability to read business requirements or deliverables for completeness, accuracy, etc.
* Core consulting skills such as business writing and presenting, and analytic comparisons.
* Must be a US Citizen. Prefer current active Department of Defense (or capable of attaining) Secret Clearance

OPTION SKILLSETS (BENEFICIAL BUT NOT REQUIRED):
* Experience conducting business case analysis including cost-benefit analysis
Knowledge of Service Oriented Architecture

RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Help develop, plan, and implement enterprise CMMI project management principles

This position requires minimal travel (15% or less).
