Summary

This individual will serve as a Level 2 PeopleSoft / Oracle Database Administrator, providing BearingPoint managed application services client database and technical support for PeopleSoft Oracle Database environments. This individual is responsible for maintaining and updating the landscape architecture, ensuring the health of the databases, ensuring backups are scheduled and usable, ensuring the operational run books are accurate and maintained, performing overall daily management of the Oracle database instances, and performing operational tasks and activities. This individual will be responsible for all aspects of Oracle database administration as it relates to the PeopleSoft application. Responsibilities include physical database design and maintenance, managing PeopleSoft and Oracle TARs, troubleshooting database issues, capacity planning, performance management and tuning, ownership of database fail-over and disaster recovery scenarios and procedures, and definition of monitoring thresholds.

This individual will comply with BearingPoint standard operating procedures, and ensure client users are treated courteously and provided a positive trouble ticket reporting experience. This individual will also perform client transition tasks, knowledge transfer assignments, and audit assignments for BearingPoint clients to which he/she is assigned.

Roles/Responsibilities:

. L2 PeopleSoft Application DBA will troubleshoot and resolve trouble tickets for BearingPoint client, Hawaiian Telcom, involving the PeopleSoft Application.
. L2 PeopleSoft Database Administrator will perform operational tasks and activities (e.g., clones, database refreshes, patching, performance tuning, capacity planning, backup management, etc.) to ensure BearingPoint client service level metrics are maintained or exceeded.
. L2 PeopleSoft Database Administrator is responsible for installing and configuring databases.
. L2 PeopleSoft Database Administrator is responsible for providing technical support in a complex, clustered landscape.
. L2 PeopleSoft Database Administrator is responsible for participating and performing tasks for disaster recovery procedures and for clustered fail-overs.
