PLANNER - SENIOR

 

WADE TRIM is an ENR Top 200 design firm consistently honored for technical expertise and has been named one of the Best Civil Engineering Firms To Work For as cited by CE News.  We are currently seeking a Senior Planner to join our Tampa, FL team. 

 

Candidates should have a bachelor?s degree in Planning or a related field (Master?s Degree preferred) and AICP Certification.  Also required is eight years of related experience (at least five as a planning consultant) including master planning, zoning ordinance updates, neighborhood planning, community planning, urban design, downtown planning and smart growth land use issues.  Candidates will need a firm understanding of daily planning practices such as site plan reviews, rezonings, variances, etc. Experience in economic development is preferred.  Additional requirements include:  client and project management experience, experience in leading proposal and project teams, excellent organization and communication skills, and excellent writing and graphic skills. Typical responsibilities:

 

? Develop ongoing professional and personal relationships with the primary client contact and with other members of the client?s organization. Work to become a trusted advisor to the client

? Lead marketing and business development efforts for assigned clients

? Attend client public meetings including boards and commissions as requested

? Understand client needs and look for opportunities for Wade Trim to provide services to meet those needs (sales)

? Manage the client?s budget, schedule, and program as well as Wade Trim?s budget and schedule

? Coordinate administrative and technical project efforts, to assure the most efficient and cost-effective execution of assigned projects

? Manage project communication, documentation, office administrative tasks and project team assignments

? Estimate fees, determine scope of work, and prepare proposals

? Maintain excellent client relations through meetings, telephone calls, etc.

? Coordinate work efforts of staff and review work performed
