AcuTech is presently engaged in several major projects in the following industries: oil and gas production & transportation (marine, offshore, onshore, pipeline, terminals), LNG, petroleum refining, petrochemicals, and other process industries, as well as various security projects with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS).

To meet our current project demands and future growth plans, we are looking to fill several positions in all of our locations.? We are seeking individuals with the following qualifications:
?BS/MS in related engineering field (chemical, mechanical, safety), with experience in loss prevention engineering, safety engineering, reliability engineering, fire protection engineering, human factors engineeringProfessional certification (P.E., CSP) preferred5-15 years in health, safety and environment (HSE) related experience in process or system engineering design environment, manufacturing operations, and/or consulting environment5-7 years experience in process facility EPC projects, including interfacing with process, controls, E&I, structural, mechanical, hydraulics departments, as well as classification societies, certifying authorities, regulators, and customer project teamsExperience in developing, writing, and implementing HSE plans, procedures, design philosophies, design bases, engineering specifications, standard operating proceduresExperience implementing HSE risk-based design control process, HSE design reviews and formal verification schemes for safety-critical systems, developing safety cases, formal safety assessments, HSE management system auditsExperience in designing safety systems for hazard prevention, detection, control mitigation, and response, including: process containment systems; fire, gas and smoke detection systems; active and passive fire protection systems; explosion prevention and protection systems; hazardous area classification; ventilation and inerting systems; relief, blowdown and venting systems; emergency shutdown systems; pollution prevention systems; emergency response systems, etc.Formal training/certification in theory and applications for: loss prevention, loss control, process safety management, system safety, hazard identification, consequence analysis, event frequency analysis, risk assessment (qualitative and QRA), reliability analysis (fault tree analysis), fire protection engineering, human factors engineering, cost-benefit analysis, job safety analysis (JSA) or job hazard analysis (JHA), critical task risk assessment, etc. Formal training and experience in supporting hazard identification and risk assessments: HAZID, ENVID, What-If, HAZOP, FMEA/FMECA, event tree analysis, fire and explosion modeling (e.g. PHAST, CFD), system availability analysis, safety integrity level (SIL) assessment, level of protection analysis (LOPA), emergency system survivability analysis, etc.Formal training and experience in developing and implementing all elements of OSHA 29 CFR 1910.119 process safety management (PSM) and EPA 40 CFR Part 68 risk management plans/programs (RMP), including facilitating process hazard analysis (PHA), incident investigation and root cause analysis (TapRoot), mechanical integrity and asset management, safe work practices (permit systems for confined space, lockout/tagout, hot work), emergency response planning, preparedness and response plans and crisis management plansDemonstrated ability to understand and communicate complicated regulatory requirements and customer needsDemonstrated ability to recognize hazards, drive continual improvement, and promote practical alternatives for risk reduction and risk control measuresDemonstrated ability to develop consulting business, including developing proposals and making presentationsAbility to work on ethnically and culturally diverse project teamsSelf-motivated, strong leadership and organizational skillsExcellent English verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal skills, and ability to interface at all levelsExcellent customer service skills, presentation skillsHighly proficient in MS Office skills (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)Strong analytical, problem-solving, and facilitation skills and a consultative approach in supporting customer projectsWorking knowledge of U.S. and international HSE regulations, codes, rules, standards (OSHA, EPA, MMS, DHS, USCG, FERC, DOT, IMO, SOLAS, MARPOL, API, NORSOK, OCIMF, OGP, UKOOA, IADC, ISO, IEC, NFPA, etc.)Working knowledge of international standards for HSE and quality management systems (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001)
