Key Responsibilities: The consultant will serve in a billable capacity performing management consulting, project and program management services to Major Oak clients.  While infrequent out of town travel may be required, it is expected that this role will be local to the New Jersey/New York area.The consultant will have responsibility for five main activities: Business Consulting ? Consult with client management to identify and develop strategies to support key business objectives.  Research, identify, analyze and facilitate evaluation of external best practice information into project process and systems design/redesign.  Develop cost justified solutions that produce positive results.Business Process Analysis ? Lead efforts to improve clients? business processes to make them more efficient, effective and aligned with organizational goals leveraging people, process and technology.  This includes documenting current state business processes, identifying opportunities, integrating appropriate best practices, and defining and documenting future state business processes. Organizational Change Management ? Support our clients? transformation projects by developing and executing change management programs including stakeholder analysis, communication planning, drafting and issuing communications and coaching clients on managing the overall change with their employees and stakeholders.Project/Program Management ? Coordinate and/or lead client projects and Program Management Offices (PMOs) to support the overall goals and objectives of our clients.  Projects may involve strategy, business analysis, process change, organizational change and system implementations.Other ? Assist the Major Oak management team in developing company infrastructure and the consulting practice by managing internal projects that enhance the company?s internal and client facing capability to meet client needs and exceed their expectations.

 

Preferred Competencies:Client and project management skillsProven experience leading business initiatives and developing business deliverables including the ability to define, develop and document requirements, recommendations, project plans and process flows Development and execution of business process redesign and organizational change management strategiesAbility to manage multiple assignments, priorities and initiatives in a challenging environment Able to work independently with little supervision Demonstrated ability to work with all levels of management Flexible, people oriented and able to work in a team environment Strong analytical and decision making skills that foster developing creative solutions and supports client's operating goals Experience in exercising strong oral, written and interpersonal skills Ability to develop client presentations and deliverables leveraging a proficiency in MS Office, including expert level PowerPoint, Visio, Word and MS Project skillsPMP certification a big plus



Experience:At least 7 years experience, with a minimum of 3 years Business Process Redesign Minimum of two years Big 4 or equivalent external consulting experience requiredBachelor degree,  MBA a plus Project Management experienceExcellent communication, influencing and negotiation skills Analytical skills and problem solving ability Six Sigma experience a big plus

 

Location:  Consultant will work 60-80% on-site with client and/or telecommute from home when not on a client project.  Must be able to commute to Northern NJ for Major Oak meetings.
