Product Manager – Shopping Effectiveness

Do you have the passion to create the ultimate online travel shopping experience, for one of the biggest names in ecommerce?  Do you have what it takes to your product the best out there?  Can you manage a product through out its execution cycle, including gathering product requirements, defining product vision, and working closely with engineering to implement and iterate? We are looking for a superstar to optimize our shopping tools and processes, including search forms, the checkout process, customer registration, and partner gateways. The ideal candidate will be passionate, self-motivated, and well-versed in ecommerce optimization techniques.

 

Here?s what we want you to do as a Product Manager ? Shopping Effectiveness:Develop a product vision, including strategy, plan, and initiatives, for Orbitz and CheapTickets, for search forms, the checkout process, customer registration,  and partner gatewaysChampion the consumers? online shopping experience, driving the product to provide a superior and differentiating user experienceIdentify opportunities to increase conversion, decrease operating costs, and improve the customer experience through product innovation and operational efficiencies Develop business cases for projects, and track ROIEvaluate the ongoing conversion for the website; track conversion performance against forecasted objectives, and work with Marketing, and the Product Vertical teams to improve conversionManage product development through the creation and maintenance of business and functional requirements, process workflows, use cases, reporting requirements and test casesCollaborate with Information Architecture, Technology and Creative, Editorial and Front End Production to understand feasibility and constraints of potential alternative solutionsOversee the creation of Functional Specifications including Use Cases, Process/Workflow, Error Messages, Interface Specifications and test casesCommunicate team?s accomplishments upward and outward throughout organizationWork with Project Management to ensure product features are successfully released

 

Qualifications:Minimum 6-8 years experience with 4+ years of specialized product management experience leading e-commerce/website product development in a fast paced environment required.Expert knowledge of ecommerce conversion optimization concepts and techniques and a strong understanding of the web development lifecycleB.A./B.S. required, MBA a plus  Travel industry experience a plusStrong leadership capabilities.  Ability to extract most vital business requirements from management and from market analysis to drive product strategy and business plans.Effective presenter to a variety of audiencesExcellent communication skills (written and verbal).  Strong product and project management skills.Strong technical aptitude.  Demonstrate the ability to understand the business consequences of technical decisions.Solution and team oriented
