Position Overview

Manufacturing Insights is seeking a program director to lead the Demand Management Strategies product family. The program director will have responsibility for Demand Management, the Chemical and Consumer Package Goods industry, and emerging trends in the use of Radio Frequency Identification (RFID). He/she will be responsible for coordinating the research agenda with other Manufacturing Insight analysts as well as other Analysts throughout IDC . The individual must have strong project management experience as well strong writing and presentation skills.

Responsibilities and Clients

The individual will be required to deliver compelling research projects, high levels of customer interaction, and be able to grow the practice with both the demand and supply side of technology markets.

The program director will oversee a number of research programs. In overseeing these programs, the director will serve as a main point of contact with the sales force for product education and pricing guidance. Therefore the individual will need to have strong client facing skills and a keen business sense to identify and package products in a way that meets clients needs.

The individual will also be responsible for ensuring that the research is delivered on time, cost effectively, and with a high degree of quality. This requires the director to have strong project management skills. The director will be responsible for developing and maintaining business processes associated with the gathering of primary and secondary information to support the products. The data will be gathered from a number of different sources and used by a multiple parties. Therefore, an ability to develop a process that maximizes analyst's time and minimizes costs is required.

Skills and Experience

The desired individual will have an undergraduate degree with 5+ years working experience in Demand Management. Experience in the Consumer Package Goods or Chemical industry and/or with a market advisory firm is preferred.
