Program Management Manager

Advisory's Change and Program Effectiveness team is currently seeking Managers with program management technical expertise. We provide Program Effectiveness solutions in four primary areas:
- Enterprise Program Management - Assess client needs/capabilities, provide tools/methodologies and guidance to establish or improve client program management organizations
- Program Management Office - Provide program planning, scoping, dependency/risk management, resources deployment, quality control and reporting
- Program Strategy, Governance and Management - Provide advice/oversight to client in evaluation of program alternatives and assist in structuring a plan and mobilizing resources to deliver results
- Project Assurance - Assess risk through evaluation of programs and provide recommendations for program effectiveness
The Practice is seeking Managers to assist with growth. Qualified candidates should have a background in finance, accounting, auditing, internal controls or risk management. Qualified candidates should possess excellent interpersonal skills and work effectively in teams of client, PwC and other third party professionals. Managers will deliver projects and services to our clients on a regional, national and/or global business scale.
Managers will develop and deliver client solutions in the areas of program management and will have accountability for the selling and completion of these projects. Managers will be responsible for delivering projects of various sizes, providing leadership and management in a number of activities, including product/service knowledge, business development, client and project management and team and client relationship building. In partnership with the leadership team, Managers will actively participate in all activities required for the development of the practice.

The primary responsibilities/expectations for Managers to deliver Program Effectiveness solutions may include but are not be limited to:
Business Development
- Significantly contribute to business development efforts for program management engagements or program management components on other service engagements (i.e. drafting proposals, completing the sale, planning the approach and identifying resources to deliver an engagement)
- Develop and leverage strong relationships/networking with clients and PwC resources across the Firm's Lines of Service
- Create opportunities during engagements to further deliver firm methodologies/resources and provide valuable service to clients which result in an increase in providing PwC services.
- Participate in strategic and tactical planning sessions conducted by the practice
- Develop practice marketing materials and deliver presentations as required to internal and external audiences regarding our services
Solution Definition
- Develop program strategy including scope, program approach, resource requirements, timeline, risks and dependencies to address a variety of client business, IT and/or compliance issues
- Advise client on best course of action while considering cost, effort, risk and potential outcomes
- Facilitate agreement on approach, methodologies and tools to ensure alignment with client's business requirements
- Establish plan to optimize project governance structure, roles and responsibilities
- Possess industry-specific skills/expertise and integrate expertise from various industry sectors to satisfy program requirements (i.e., technical specialization, program management certification)
- Leverage and tailor tools/methodologies from previous engagements
Develop/Deliver
- Develop and manage a multi-work stream program with multiple resources and program objectives through constant client interaction
- Respond to changing client needs and program progress by restructuring program functions
- Evaluate and improve program operations to facilitate effective coordination and communication among several work streams
- Deliver program management engagements on time and budget; manage economics including establishing chargecode structure, understanding implications of decisions on the Firm's Financial System structure and reporting; invoicing for services and collecting payments
- Facilitate status reporting to executive level and communicate progress/risks/issues//solutions
- Anticipate team needs and plan and communicate an approach for meeting those needs by coaching team resources and directly doing things for the team in a collaborative manner
People
- Oversee work of joint team (PwC and client/contractor), optimizing workload balance and enforcing accountability
- Develop/administer training for program members (new program member, resource training and work stream specific technical training) for PwC staff, clients and other third party consultants
Previous Experience
Over 6 years of progressive consulting experience in at least 3 of the following areas: project management, change management, financial management, accounting, risk management, process improvement
