Program Manager, Defense Sector

At this time, we are searching for professional, motivated individuals to support large-scale Project Management engagements with a major defense client. Project Management Consultants will oversee the day-to-day planning, organization and direction of all resources to complete, on time, all key project goals and objectives through our Program Management Office (PMO) solution. The BearingPoint PMO solution will combine preferred practices with proven methodologies to manage all aspects of the project.

Location: Washington DC Metro area

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
· Overseeing day-to-day operations
· Working with clients to provide strategic program direction
· Executing the daily tasks associated with multiple assigned projects
· Conducting follow-up actions and facilitating meetings
· Coordinating communications
· Maintaining project documentation and deliverables
· Managing processes for issue identification, tracking and resolution and where necessary:
· Initiating rapid action to limit project impact
· Increasing the effectiveness of the project
· Reducing and mitigating associated risks

Requirements:
· Minimum of 5 years of project delivery experience, with demonstrated ability to deliver on time, on scope, and on budget to the client’s satisfaction.
· IT “savvy??? – strong to exceptional personal computer skills are required (Microsoft Office suite). Ability to interact with and utilize client’s and client’s customer’s legacy IT systems to perform some PMO responsibilities.
· Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
· Minimum of an Undergraduate degree required
· U.S. Citizenship required
