Overview: 

As a consultant at the project analyst level, he/she understands and assists in the Technology Relocation process while participating as an individual and/or team member in completion of technical relocation projects, the creation of proposals and cost estimates for projects, coordinate the installation and/or modification of technology equipment and to execute test procedures to ensure completeness of installation.

 

Responsibilities 

? Provide on-site consulting support for Align technology relocation clients as directed by the Project Manager

? Assist with the administration of technology relocation projects, including acting as scribe and transcribing meeting minutes, making updates to budget and project plan, etc.

? Assist Project Manager with client billing process, including tracking and monitoring project hours by team members, and scheduling extra project resources in preparation for billing and reviewing project Work-in-Process (WIP) reports.

? Assist with creating and maintaining documentation for the Project Book to be handed off to a client at project completion.

? Coordinate and oversee vendors at job sites, including monitoring their work, facilitating equipment deliveries, identifying and escalating issues and ensuring proper documentation is maintained, etc.

? Gather client inventory information and assist in planning physical desktop equipment moves and connectivity requirements; participates in asset scanning/tagging and audits on inventory projects using Align?s proprietary software tool, Asset Point

? Participate in Move, Add, Change (MAC) work at a client site to include: site surveys, execution of moves, preparing documents, deliverables, etc.

? Perform disconnect/reconnect of PC?s and peripherals

? Act as liaison between business units and project team regarding from/to move information

? Act as liaison between project team and overall Project Manager regarding project updates, directions, etc.

? Create visuals of data center cabinet elevations, desk profiles, elevations and floor plans using graphics programs, including AutoCAD and Visio.

? Work in conjunction with Project Associate to incorporate technology into floor plans

? Participate in project overtime, as needed

Skills (The education and/or past experience required to succeed in this position)

1-3 years of work experience, preferably in a customer/professional service industry

College degree BS/BA

Good working knowledge of MS Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook

Graphics applications skills, including Visio and Aperture, desired but not required
