Performance Profile:
BearingPoint Public Services team is seeking a new team member to work 100% on-site at a US Government client facility in North Chicago, Illinois (near Great Lakes Naval Base). Access to the Chicago office near O'Hare will not be frequent but may be available. This candidate will work with other BearingPoint consultants and with government clients within an Information Technology (IT) directorate to help develop, plan, and implement enterprise CMMI project management principles. This is an opportunity to help shape industry best practice procedures in an immature project management environment. The role may also encompass providing support to client in monitoring external contractors/consultants providing BPR or systems integration initiatives.
This position will provide scheduling and project management support for a large DoD client. Provide support to team members in the discipline of planning and scheduling. Apply an understanding of the scope and requirements of the project, interpret key milestones, and ensure the plan is structured within the scope and requirements, and supports the key milestones. Ensure dependencies are complete for all individual tasks and associate WBS element for all individual tasks. Support a team in ensuring cost and schedule correlation is maintained. Provide continual project planning, scheduling, and controlling maintenance support for the assigned clients. This position will be required to build a Resource Loaded Network (RLN) in MS Project for each current IT project within MEPCOM MIT Directorate and using this information as a template, build future project RLN and MS Project Schedule. Additionally, this position will be required to use the prescribed RLN data to build charts, graphics, and tables to support a weekly, monthly, and as required reports and/or briefings.


Position-specific Requirements:
A Bachelors degree is required, Master's preferred
PMP certification is preferred, not required.
2+ years of experience with project scheduling
2+ years of experience using Microsoft Project or Primavera
1+ years experience with Earned Value Management
2+ years experience with supporting DoD clients
Must be a US Citizen. Prefer current active Department of Defense (or capable of attaining) Secret Clearance
