Project manager: Brokerage Industry

The Athene Group is looking for a Sr Project manager for one of its direct clients in the Financial Services/Brokerage industry.

In this role, the candidate will partner with business and technology representatives in establishing project teams and will provide overall direction for the technology development components of projects from initiation and requirements definition to production installation. This entails managing project teams consisting of members from multiple groups and sites.

The scope of responsibilities can include managing or supporting one or more complex technology projects. Additional project management responsibilities include budget management, maintaining & reporting project status, issue tracking, risk management, change control and monitoring activities of all team members. ?

The ideal candidate will have significant brokerage industry knowledge/experience and a background managing systems development projects.? S/he must be able to communicate effectively with development managers, developers, analysts, and business partners/product owners.? The candidate will possess strong communication, facilitation, and negotiation skills necessary to succeed in a matrix-management project environment.?

Qualifications

BA/BS (technology-related discipline or business/finance is a plus) required

5 ? 7+ years of technology project management experience

Formal project life-cycle methodology experience

Financial services industry knowledge and brokerage knowledge is ideal

Ability to learn and come up to speed quickly ? learning the Fidelity organizational environment, as well as specific industry/product content knowledge

Strong communication and organizational skills.
