The Public Sector Consulting market has recently been experiencing a sharp increase in market activity for financial and HR/Payroll which has resulted in a high demand for talent in the Public Sector ERP packages consulting market in general.?
?
Staffing for public sector ERP projects are unique compared to commercial ERP projects in
several special areas.? Unique business processes and ERP functionality exists in several key areas.? These areas are:
- Treasury and Cash Management
- Fund Accounting
- Budgetary and Appropriation Control
- Public Sector Procurement
- HR/Payroll with Budgetary Position Control
- Financial Reporting (Comprehensive Annual Financial Report) with associated working knowledge of GASB pronouncements

As part of an effort to identify more candidates, we are widening our approach for hiring to explore individuals with related experiences in any of these areas of public sector.?? We will consider individuals that have experience?minimal experience with?Peoplesoft, Oracle, Lawson or other proprietary package experience.?

We will also consider individuals with little or no public sector industry experience.? We plan to make an investment in public sector training so that you can learn more about this unique industry group.?

We are seeking
individuals with experience in any one of the following areas who may be interested in learning more about SAP, financials, and the public sector industry.
?
Treasury and Cash Management- serving in a responsible position with experience with pooled cash, investments, investment accounting systems, bank accounting systems, state investment pools, working with investment advisors and working as a treasurer, assistant treasurer or director of treasury functions.
?
Fund Accounting- serving in a state financial reporting office, state auditor's office, state comptroller's office with responsibilities for general fund accounting, accounts payable, auditing, fund ledger reconciliations and/or Comprehensive Annual Financial Reports (CAFR) preparation.? Additional knowledge of GASB pronouncements is very helpful. Similar experience is a large city or county finance division as finance director or asst director would be acceptable.

Budgetary and Appropriation Control- serving in a state budget
office, state auditor's office, state comptroller's office with responsibilities for budgetary preparation or budgetary analysis, budget accounting, or Distinguished Budget Presentation Award. preparation.? Additional knowledge of GFOA budget methods is very helpful. Similar experience is a large city or county finance division as finance director or asst director would be acceptable.

Public Sector Procurement- serving in a state purchasing office with responsibilities for general procurement, buying, sourcing, contracting, leasing, vendor relations and other related areas.? Knowledge of public sector RFP, RFQ, RFI processes and NGIP principles very helpful.?? Similar experience is a large state college or university, city or county procurement division as director or asst director would be acceptable.
