Currently, The PAC Group seeks candidates to support consulting assignments locally in Egypt.

 

Project Assignments include the need for:

 

Manufacturing / Quality Engineering professionals for a variety of forthcoming projects with our clients.  The target industries for the assignments include:  Automotive, or Food & Packaging, or Home Appliances/White Goods.

 

A profile of the type of experience required includes:

 

> Prior successful experience as a Consultant to suppliers who are engaged in the process of improving their Quality Systems and Product Delivery to their Customers. 

> Previous hands-on experience in working as a Manufacturing Engineer to assess manufacturing capacity, identify problems, perform Root Cause Analysis, and develop successful and practical solutions to manufacturing problems.  Ability to drive successful Plant improvements.

> Familiarity with a variety of applicable components.  For example, in the automotive sector, components such as:  wheels, HVAC, wiring harnesses, cables, suspension parts, body parts/fascias/bumpers, brakes, chassis parts, exhaust systems, interior trim, glass, etc.  For home appliances/white goods sector, parts such as oven hinges, refrigerator compressors, sheet metal, plastic injection parts, pressure die casting, electrical switches, thermostats, foam products, water coolers / filters and other refrigerator equipment accessories. 

> Expertise in Lean Manufacturing principles, and experience in facilitating Lean Transformations.

> Experience as a Mentor or Coach to emerging market suppliers; helping them to understand the delivery criteria of European and North American customers.

> Solid knowledge of quality processes, and experience in evaluating and implementing them.

> Ability to observe areas for improvement, and guide suppliers in a pro-active and positive manner toward reaching their business objectives.

> Knowledge of the 'best practices' of in the related industry

> Ability to evaluate process technology on the plant floor and make recommendations.

> Strong previous experience with the requirements of the targeted industries and suppliers for Quality and Delivery from their suppliers.

> Experience in working with all levels of personnel; from shop floor to CEO.  Part of the role will focus on coaching the upper management to implement new practices.

> Must be able to think on your feet, provide consultative feedback, and also write reports as required by the scope of work.

> Should be fluent in English.  Familiarity with Arabic language not mandatory, but helpful.

 

Project assignments will vary from 6 weeks to 1 year, plus or minus.  Project location will be in the vicinity of Cairo, Egypt.
