Regulatory Specialist

Job Description: This position will focus primarily on MSDS Authoring and other regulatory services for new & existing clients. These activities will be performed using The WERCS? software suite.

Job Responsibilities:
Perform OSHA hazard assessment & author MSDS and product Label content as needed for customers.
Respond to customer requests for product regulatory information as needed.
Attend training on regulatory compliance and corporate requirements.
Maintain a thorough knowledge of emerging regulations.
Fulfill DOT and other product related transportation requirements.
Assist with MSDS rule writing using The WERCS? to increase efficiency.
Assist and support project managers & sales team as needed. This would include guidance in overall regulatory compliance, assisting in problem solving, provide technical regulatory expertise, and any other actions that would facilitate the successful sale or implementation of The WERCS?.
Provide support for all ISO9000 initiatives.
Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:
Must have knowledge of North American and EU hazard communication requirements, current ANSI MSDS and Labeling guidelines, environmental and hazardous waste compliance regulations (SARA, CERCLA, RCRA), and domestic and international transportation requirements. DOT/IATA certification is a plus. Knowledge of REACH and GHS requirements is also desired.
One to three years regulatory affairs experience.
BS/MS in Chemistry, Biology, Toxicology, Life Sciences, Health or Environmental Science or Engineering.
