Based in: Atlanta, Georgia

 

Travel:   Travel 1-3 days per month is required

 

 

CoreNet Global, Inc., the leading professional association for corporate real estate executives, seeks a Research Consultant for its Atlanta office.  CoreNet Global has 7,000 members worldwide.  Its mission is help members excel in the management of corporate real estate and the workplace, adding value to their organizations and their personal careers.  CoreNet Global accomplishes this by delivering knowledge and networking through applied research, accredited education programs, global conferences, publications, online knowledge programs, worldwide chapters in major cities, and many other related services.

 

The Research Consultant will be responsible for creation of industry and topic specific knowledge through development and engagement of special interest groups. 

 

Position Description:  Research Consultant

Research Consultants drive the success of our knowledge generation through creating and leading topic or industry focused special interest groups. They work closely with our members to determine the strategic and operational challenges that they are facing. Research Consultants strive to develop engaged groups of members that are passionate about their topic or industry.

CoreNet Global is looking for Research Consultants with proven analytical skills and a passion for consultative relationships to join our research team. Our programs engage the senior corporate real estate executives on key strategy issues facing Fortune 500/Global 1000 companies.

Responsibilities:

 ? Work with CoreNet Global leadership to identify groups of members that share topic or industry based interests and can be developed into a special interest group.Help to identify and support group leaders in forming and operating the special interest groupFacilitate executive level discussions of emerging issues and best practicesLead development of members in roles and responsibilities appropriate for the special interest group to be self sustainingManage development of group projects in order to complete projects on schedule while achieving engagement and successfully meeting group goals? Manage the integration, delivery and support of the group with CoreNet Global knowledge resources including the Expert Survey Panel, Summits, Education, Research, Discovery Forums, and Chapters? Facilitate successful use of technology and tools to support the group and organizational objectives? Develop small groups of members into engaged, self sustaining, global networks.

 

Requirements

Educational requirements: MBA or equivalent graduate degree requiredTop graduate school strongly preferred3-10 years of collective work experience (pre- and post- graduate degree) or candidates with significant experience in academia

Required skills and experience in three (3) key areas:

SkillsStrong inductive and deductive reasoning skills Experience in hypothesis-driven research is a must Insight generation- or the ability to generate ideas that have an impact Basic quantitative facility- relevant coursework or work experience

CommunicationStrong writing ability ? published candidates highly desirable Ability to scope terrain - evident through research experience Teaching and framing ? experience or ability to teach and relay ideas. Candidates who have been T.A?s in graduate school classes are extremely desirable. Excellent presentation and verbal communication skills

Leadership and ManagementProject management skills Experience/ability to engage executive level clients Experience/ability to create and lead a team
