Risk Management Consultant

Position HRH is currently recruiting a Risk Management Consultant for our office in Glen Allen, VA.

 

Primary Function

The Risk Management Consultant position is responsible for assisting the Risk Management Casualty Practice in delivering high-level consulting services to our Clients and Prospects.  This position will be responsible for understanding the risks of HRH?s Clients and Prospects, quantifying them, ranking and communicating them, and structuring risk financing vehicles that reflect that unique blend of risk appetite and available resource.

Responsibilities include:
Assist in the identification and acquisition of new clients.
Analyze, Design, and Implement Strategic Risk Solutions for Clients via a consultative approach.
Drive Client Retention by delivering an ever expanding range of service capabilities, and responsiveness.
Communicate, Manage, and Deliver Projects as needed to Internal Staff;
Assist in efforts to enhance HRH Risk Management?s ?brand awareness?.
Create a strategy for cultivating, coordinating, and implementing risk management opportunities.
Work with production teams as needed.
Assist clients transitioning from fully insured programs to high deductibles and retentions and other alternative risk financing vehicles, including development of holistic risk management programs that focus on organizational, clinical, and risk financing aspects of risk management.
Conduct and participate as needed in ?train the trainer? sessions to educate and mentor producers, account executives, and others in the use of HRH tools to support the clients in the ownership of their self-insured retentions, as well as in how to facilitate client dialogue on cost of risk at a senior management level.
Participate in the composition and delivery of RFP responses, both written and oral.
Develop and present topical seminars nationally in an effort to develop the HRH Risk Management.
Participate in Client meetings, including Claim Reviews, Underwriting Meetings, Stewardships, etc. as needed.
Participate in the brokerage process, as necessary.
Participate in local, regional, and national associations and conferences, including publication in trade journals.



This position will also work with other corporate resources in developing, implementing, and managing client focused strategic risk management initiatives.

 

Qualifications
BS/BA Finance/Business/Risk Management
MBA, CPCU or CIC preferred
Knowledge of Captive and other Operational Issues
Solid Foundation ? Primary and Excess Casualty Coverage Lines
Strong Analytical Skills
Negotiate and Place Coverages as Needed



Experience
Minimum of 5 years experience
Some London and Bermuda Experience
