The Solution Architect is concerned with the design of solutions to manage the infrastructure and applications used by the information system. The focus of this position will be on defining plans, strategies and architectures for the installation, operation, migration and management of complex information systems. Includes responsibility for applications related performance, availability, scalability, and integrity of the applications.The solution architecture discipline concentrates on the design of information system solutions required to automate business processes and resolve business issues. The resulting design may run on multiple platforms and may be composed of multiple software packages. This discipline performs critical evaluation and selection of the software and hardware components of the applications and data, and prepares for the development of the application by evaluation and selection of development methodologies and tools. A critical component is integration within the information system solution and externally to other related systems. The solution architect is also focused on the design of solutions which enable existing applications, packaged software offerings, networks, and systems to work together within an enterprise or among enterprises using middleware technologies. Full life cycle development and implementation of large scale business applications; Requirements gathering and documentation. This position requires 10 or more years experience in a team- based IT environment; Banking Risk and Compliance industry knowledge;the ability to leverage new technologies and concepts to improve business processes; developing services concepts as part of Enterprise Architectures; Utilizing enterprise services to facilitate increased efficiencies; Analysis and systems design.
