SAP Basis/Oracle DBA Administrator

This individual will serve as a SAP Basis/Oracle DBA Administrator providing SAP technical expertise to maintain and upgrade SAP technologies in a Production environment.
They will be responsible for applying support packages, software patches/fixes, system refreshes, and client copies and supporting upgrades.
The SAP Basis/Oracle DBA will also perform Oracle (9i) administration to ensure optimal database performance through monitoring, tuning, and applying of Oracle patches.
Responsibilities will include maintaining security profile roles utilizing Profile Generator, SAP Portal 6.0 security administration, performing daily-weekly system checks, providing advanced level technical support, developing and documenting scripts and operating procedures.
Additional duties include: maintaining and updating the SAP Enterprise Portal, Basis administration for SAP Business Warehouse, transport management, ensuring the operational run books are accurate and maintained, proactively researching and identifying application patches and upgrades as required, and providing database and technical support information at the direction of the Team Lead.
Knowledge of Central user Administration, Solution Manager 3.2, functional experience with R/3 and integration points with various modules and R/3 authorization concepts a plus.

· SAP Basis/Oracle DBA Administrator is responsible for the overall evaluation of SAP Security issues as relating to all severity trouble tickets.
·SAP Basis/Oracle DBA Administrator is responsible for the SAP Production Landscape (DEV, QA, TRN, PRD) as it relates to the maintenance and upgrades for SAP technologies including SAP Portal 6.0 and SAP BW 3.0.
This is includes applying support packages, software patches, fixes and performing system refreshes, client copies, and performing Oracle DBA administration.
Excellent knowledge of CCMS, Solution Manager 3.2, Transport Management, Archiving, Spool Administration, security analysis/administration, system restores, networks, web servers, Internet Transaction Servers (ITS), general maintenance and troubleshooting, workload Analysis and overall performance tuning is required.
·SAP Basis/Oracle DBA Administrator is responsible for performing assignments during off-business hours (as needed) and for providing support for severity 1 and 2 trouble tickets.
