SAP Data Conversion Lead

The BearingPoint Public Services SAP Solutions Group is currently searching for an SAP Data Conversion Lead

Location/s: Alexandria, VA

Relocation: Negotiable

Data Conversion Lead will be responsible to coordinate efforts required to migrate data from various legacy systems into the new SAP R/3 & CRM systems.

Key responsibilities may include:

* Defining data conversion scope in terms of master data, transaction data, and historical data based on user’s requirements and project objectives and priorities.
* Develop conversion and cutover approach and detailed plan.
* Coordinate data cleansing efforts both to increase data quality and to conform to SAP’s requirements.
* Planning activities, tracking of deliverables and providing regular status updates.
* Supervise and coach data conversion team members.
* Overseeing and checking the quality and consistency of work
* Resolve issues in conversion area.
* Assuring documentation is completed and signed
* Manage the design, build, and test of conversion tools.
* Coordinate efforts related to trial conversion and production cutover.
* Perform pre and post conversion verification
* Forecasting workload and resource needs, experience with Microsfot Project preferred
* 5+ years of experience in SAP implementation projects.
* 3+ years of experience in SAP data conversion activities.
* Experience in leading data conversion team within a consulting environment.
* Experienced in design, build, and test of various conversion tools.
* Must have ABAP programming.
