SaaS Technical Consultant

Axway is looking for a dynamic individual with high energy and drive to join our Solutions Delivery Team as a SaaS Technical Consultant.

Responsibilities:

Actively participate with the design, installation and support of all aspects of application infrastructure.

Support Server and VMware infrastructure in a remote datacenter environment
Recommend, implement and enforce security policies and technologies.
Troubleshoot, escalate and resolve networking and client/server related issues
Ensure clear and concise documents & diagrams are created and maintained for all areas of responsibilities
Resolve problems independently; utilize vendors for unique projects
Provide on-call 24x7 support on a rotational basis; occasional after-hours project work required
Support Oracle DBA as required
Support Virtualization/VMWare implementation

 

This position will own responsibility for monitoring all network, application and server incidents/problems whether they are reported via automated monitoring or the Call Center.
Strong problem solving skills with proven ability to influence and negotiate outside of a reporting relationship
Strong oral and written communication skills, including technical writing
A pro active service attitude that can look beyond a strict process/priority matrix.

Operating Systems: Windows Server 2000/2003, Linux
Servers: HP Proliant DL320-380, SunFire X4100/X4200, Intel Servers
Switching: VLAN
Protocols: TCP/IP, UDP, DNS, DHCP, SNMP, SMTP, SSL,
Applications: VMWare Virtual Center, HP Insight Manager

Databases: Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL

B2B Gateway: Cyclone Interchange or Similar

WebServers: Apache, SunOne

 

Requirements:

2 years Virtualization/VMWare implementation and administration
2 years Windows server 2000/2003 administration experience required
2 years Cyclone Commerce products or any other B2B products experience

Excellent communication skills and ability to work with individuals at all levels within the organization
Ability to work under considerable pressure managing multiple tasks and priorities
Motivated self-starter personality; must be able to work independently
Demonstrated ability to produce high-quality results with attention to details
Strong interpersonal, leadership, and team communications skills is essential; must be able to clearly document processes and procedures on a timely basis
Experience with Cyclone Interchange is a big plus

A highly developed knowledge of various protocols such as SNMP, HTTP, HTTPS, FTP, TELNET, TCP/IP, SMTP, and SSH.

 

BA/BS degree or equivalent work experience/certification
Other Requirements:
Occasional travel required
Occasional after-hours and weekend work required
