SAFETY & HEALTH MANAGER

LaPALMA, CA

 

Requirements: BS in Occupational Health & Safety (preferred) plus 3-5 years full time experience as an HSE professional required. Excellent oral and written communication and teambuilding skills a must. Good basic computer skills are necessary (i.e. Word, Powerpoint, Excel and Internet). Good creative writing skills utilizing Word and other similar software. Ability to develop presentations in Powerpoint. Must be able to conduct HSE audits, training and report preparation. Ability to lead comprehensive incident investigations and report preparation is also a requirement. Ability to communicate in Spanish is a plus. Appropriate professional certification is desirable, but not required.

 

Responsibilities: Position serves as the primary Health, Safe, Security, and Environment (HSSE) resource for facility management services at a major corporate office facility. Operations responsibilities include facility engineering and maintenance, security, janitorial and other business support services. Specific duties include but are not limited to: conducting HSSE audits and training, providing assistance for line managers in areas of responsibility, participate in various committees and leadership teams, investigation and reporting of incidents, participating in special HSSE performance improvement initiatives. This position functions as integral member of contract facility management team and reports to the corporate HSSE Manager.
