Sales Executive

Account Managers work one-on-one with a Managing Director?one of the seven most senior people in Synygy?s professional services organization?in an assigned geographic territory to sell sales compensation management solutions to a targeted list of large companies in insurance, banking, telecommunications, life sciences, and other industries.

The Account Manager and Managing Director are jointly responsible for driving predictable and reliable achievement of revenue targets through the aggressive and detailed management of the sales process and a sales pipeline. 

Each Account Manager reports directly to a Managing Director.  The Account Manager/Managing Director team works closely with Synygy?s Vice President of Sales and Synygy?s Executive Vice President of Operations to strategize, plan, and sell deals.  The team typically works together at a regional office (in Chester or Phoenix), traveling to their territory as necessary.

The Account Manager/Managing Director team directs the efforts of a New Business Representative, who is assigned to the team and supplements the cold calling of the Account Manager by calling into the targeted accounts and following up on marketing leads until opportunities are handed off to the team as prospects.

The Account Manager must have:

q  at least three years of experience selling $500K-plus, complex, professional service-oriented solutions in a team sales environment

q  demonstrable record of closing at least four transactions per year over the past several years with an average total deal value over $500K

q  passion for cold calling, ?working an organization,? and relationship building

q  very detail oriented, with proven ability to track activity, follow up on promises made, and keep the sales process moving forward

q  ability to communicate and cooperate in a team sales environment

q  exceptionally polished, professional, and reliable

q  excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills

q  ability to instill credibility and trust

q  creativity, intelligence, and a strong competitive drive

q  strategic selling skills (Miller-Heiman, Holden, etc.)

q  solid experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.), plus knowledge and use of salesforce.com or similar  software

q  a BA or BS degree (preferably in a technical degree);  MBA a plus
